![]() It's a potent Clan Assault if you're into playing the heavier mechs. At the opposite end of the spectrum is the Mad Cat Mk II Deathstrike. On the Clan side the Huntsman Pahket and Hellbringer Virago are very solid all-around mechs that are versatile thanks to them being omnimechs, and while some people complain that the Piranha is OP (I think it's solid, but not OP), the Piranha Cipher can give you hot and cold matches but at 750MC isn't a lot of MC for a mech that can work well in certain conditions. They're solid hill humping mechs and nice second-line mechs. If you intend at any point in the future to get the Solaris 7 pack (which is an excellent value and is currently on sale during the Steam Autumn Sale) then get the Legend Killer because the Dao Breaker comes with the S7 pack. My last Inner Sphere suggestion is one of the Rifleman heroes, either the Dao Breaker or Legend Killer. The Bushwacker High Roller is a nice medium mech that punches above its weight with many of the formidable Bushwacker builds, and the Marauder Bounty Hunter II is a solid Inner Sphere heavy. And as an added bonus press L while in the cockpit to turn on the lights and siren. There are other builds like the RAC2 build that are just plain fun. ![]() Once they reach the front line however, these monsters use their awesome weaponry to punch holes through enemy lines and hold the ground for their allies. 1125MC for a mech that is tanky and versatile, with a couple builds that most anyone can do well with (180XL engine and either 5 MPLs or an AC5/LB5X and 5 SLs). Slow and ponderous, Assaults rely on their teammates to protect them from the attacks of smaller Light and Medium 'Mechs while they get into position. Under no circumstances should you get the Solaris pack, it's a trap: You get a lot of 'Mechs but their hardpoint layouts are hideous.Įdited by RickySpanish, 22 November 2018 - 07:48 AM.įor value, I think the mic drop goes to the Urbanmech K9. The only other Hero I would consider is the Deathstrike. ![]() citation needed Two origins have been presented for Sleipnir: The first involved Thor having to defend Midgard from an army of the undead, which had been summoned by the Enchantress. That thing is extremely unpleasant when it sneaks up on you, because you can't simply swat it like you can a Piranha. Sleipnir is Odin s magical eight-legged steed, and is supposed to be the greatest of all horses. If you want Heroes, especially underestimated ones, then El Bandito hits the nail on the head with the IV Four. Everyone and their mum says stuff like "it's super versatile" just to fit in, but really it's just a weird, slow thing that's very puncheable. It's easy to hit, oddly slow, loves to over heat, and most of its builds could do with a few extra tons of weight not dedicated to jump jets.Įdit: yeah see below for the usual praise thrown at the Huntsman. I rarely see it in QP/GQ matches, perhaps in FP it is more prevalent. The Huntsman really isn't that good, I feel like people rattle that one off simply because everyone else does.
